Shoes
Pieper loves to put on her shoes or put them on her stuffed animals. Case in point, KEM was asking Pieper to help her find her shoes ( she has started to hide things) and Pieper kept handing her the stuffed lion. KEM: "It is a very nice lion Pieper but I want your shoes" Pieper would pick up the lion and hand it to her. This happened several times until KEM finally LOOKED at the lion who was of course wearing Pieper's shoes! :)

21 weeks
Pieper loves to move our chairs around(this is impressive because our chairs are heavy!), she tries to climb up on them, I am not looking forward to that day! She is also starting to use things to get a better reach on the counters(boxes, her potty). I don't think my counters are deep enough to keep everything away.
She loves to shut things: doors, microwave, drawers, dishwashers, washers anything she can. She is very helpful.

I had a doctors appointment last Thursday. Everything is looking great! Baby weighs in at around 1 lb 4 oz... not that I believe they can really tell. I think they are just being nice.

Baby still looks very squished to me. ( Yes, I do get to see the baby every appointment from here on out) Being older does have advantages! :)
Little person sure does move around a lot. Likes morning and nighttime of course!
I find it hard to believe we are half way through already. Need to get another picture taken, funny how hard that is... I would love to blame it on Jeff traveling so much but since I consider myself to be a good photographer I am pretty sure I could figure something out if I wanted to! Aren't husbands for blaming things on...? :) Love you husband.
I saw on Facebook how someone who is going to have a baby around the same time we are is going to last of her classes... like 10 of them or something crazy like that (I think they are going to extra), very great for them but I am glad we didn't do any of that (it costs a lot of money here in Greenwich, surprise!) First, I can't imagine the time. Second, I rather liked the way we learned as we went. Third, birthing classes... I agree with my sister... sometimes it is just better if you don't know some things going into it, I am much better at taking things as they come rather than as I have been told it will be. (shocker) That all being said, I am VERY lucky to have a mother and sisters to talk to, another plus about being older, everyone had babies already! I would like to thank them for all of their patience and advise that I am sure I will continue to gather about all of the fun and exciting things that pop up!
Enough late night ramblings!
Amazing
The difference between Jeff being gone all week (last week)and Jeff being home all week. Even though work has been crazy this week as well just having him home to help with little things like getting pjs on is amazing. I know.... it is only Tuesday! :)

Hooray!
She slept through the night! I can't quite tell ( she is still sleeping and it is a little dark) but I don't see as many spots this morning!
Must have been the chicken soup I made yesterday! :) How she loves that soup.
Baby two was really kicking up a storm this morning, or maybe it was the hiccups. Such a fun little feeling. We have a doc's apt today to see how much the baby is growing. At least this one doesn't mind going to the doctor yet! :) Not that I blame Pieper, she gets poked and prodded a lot when she goes.
A big Happy Birthday to my fabulous sister Karla today!
Hugs and kisses to all of the veterans I know and don't know, thank you. Extra special kisses to my husband. :)

My still spotted baby
The fever broke last night but we still had a ruff one. She woke up every hour until I went and got her to hold her, then we both feel asleep on the couch until she woke us up and we moved to the bed. Very short night.
We took a nap together this morning that was much needed.
I think she has more spots but since the fever is gone I did not take her back to the doctor today. She looks like a very pretty Star Trek character. Poor little doodle. She didn't want to go down to sleep tonight by herself so I left the light on until she finally went down. I have to catch up on work that I haven't been able to do since Monday. Can't you see how well that is working?
Just wanted everyone to know she is doing better.

Spots
On a happier day, she loves to put Jeff's shoes on or take them to him to put on in the morning. I know... sorry about her hair in the eyes but she always takes out what we put in, I have used mouse a couple of time to see if that works and it does for a small amount of time but she just woke up in this picture.

Pieper woke up from her nap today with spots. she had a little fever when I put her down but no spots, an hour later... spots, on her face and body. Not on her legs?

So being a first time (not for long) mom I did the little panic thing. Called for back up, Jeff came home and then I called the pediatrician. I don't want to be one of those moms who takes the child to the doctor for everything, I don't think they will be healthy. The doctor said whenever the child has a fever and spots I should bring her in for a visit. In this case she thinks it might be a virus of some kind, just have to watch her and the spots over the next few days and see what happens.
Pieper ate a good super and has been drinking well so I am under the impression things are not going to get worse. She isn't sleeping the best but who would?!

20 weeks already...?
I am feeling just fine, not sleeping well at night but somedays I do like to sneak in a nap if possible.
My clothes from the first time around are all stretched out so they are not fitting very well, I will have to go get a couple of new items to see me through. I have been looking but I am still me, takes me a very long time to find something I like!
The baby is moving around most days, it is pretty fun knowing that is what is going on this time around. The baby way likes me to sleep on my side, it doesn't matter which side just doesn't like me laying on my back!
I am not quite as hungry all the time, sometime if it wasn't for sharing a snack with Pieper I think I might forget to eat until I was starving. Snacks are a wonderful thing.
I don't lose hair anymore, one of the benefits to being pregnant.
I have asked the doctor if I had to go on the gestational diabetes diet right away but she said that it doesn't kick in until the third trimester. I can tell you this, if I do fail the first one hour test I am not going through that three hour test again, I will just go with the assumption I have GD! That test was awful.
That reminds me, I need to bake some cookies! I need to get my fix in before that first test!
No real cravings that I know of yet. I am not as dizzy as I was with Pieper, I was always falling over ( in a controlled way) with Pieper but I have only done that a couple of times so far.
If you can believe this time around you need to take fish oil pills (or omega 3) it helps the babies eye development among other things. They have vitamins that include it now but I had just bought a big bottle of the same kind I have been taking for two years and didn't want to waste them so two pills a day for me!
I HAVE to have an ultra sound every doctors visit now, I am a year older you know! They have had to do it most visits anyway because the heart beat is hard to find. Baby is hiding behind the placenta...
Next appointment is Karla's birthday so we will see how the little person is growing.
Happy Birthday to Dad today.
