Drinking out of a can?

She came out of the kitchen with this small soda can (which she had to sneak out of the cupboard), climbed up on the couch and started drinking.( well, it wasn't open) I have no idea where she learned that. I drink out of a glass, I am thinking the sitter drinks soda almost daily and that is where she saw it? Still cute. :)

35/36 weekly NST & Doc Appointment

Baby was moving around so much NST took a hour so I just went straight to the doc's office which worked very nicely, I was out by 10 am and my appointment was for 9:45!

Everything looks as it should. They didn't measure the baby this week, I am sure they don't want to make me nervous, I think the baby is going to be a big one! Heart beat is good, head is down, although not quite in the right spot. Will have to do it all again next Tuesday. Will be 36 weeks on thursday.

Side note: As I was laying there another lady, who was had the same due date was telling the nurse how she had been on bed rest and was almost ready to be off of it. (at 36 weeks she can safely have the baby) She had been on bed rest since very early, week 20 something... Jeff and I both are very thankful we did not have to worry about that. Apparently if she gets up and tries to do to much she goes into labor! She had a lot of family in the area that were helping her as she has a 3 or 4 year old at home... I can't even imagine.

snow again!

we woke up to around 5" of snow today. we went out while Jeff scooped. Pieper loved it, every time the snowplow went by she would clap. Yep, I find it easier to leave her sleeves long rather than struggle with her mittens.

NST

Forgot to mention the first NST appointment went well, nice strong heartbeat for the hour I had to lay there. Now I am on two appointments weekly, one for NST the other for the doctor. Let the countdown begin!

Can I say it is much easier not having to look around for a pediatrician... very happy with the group I found for Pieper, no looking this time!

Pile it on!

Pieper loves to pile pillows, blankets and all of her stuffed animals on you, the couch or just making a nest on the floor! This was after a bath while we were waiting for Jeff to come home from Vernon. I piled her in, that is why you can see her face!

Sleeping pattern.... not

Pieper no longer walks herself to her bedroom to sleep, I think she could stay up all night. We have a small battle every night. All started last week when Jeff got home from Napa Valley. I don't know why. I am up most of the night now anyway with the baby who likes to be up at night so that makes two of us who are getting short on sleep!

I am off to Boston tomorrow, my last extended trip for work before the baby, we will see how it goes... tried to keep the bags of samples as light as possible.

Jeff gets to spend the day with Pieper, she will love it, likes nothing better than a whole day of daddy when he is not working! Something I like as well when I get the chance, especially when I don't have to work! :)

Happy Valentines Day

There was still ice on the water when we went to the park saturday.She liked walking in the water, I think she would have kept wading out if I didn't grab her... don't you love her boots!!


These are the sunglasses she picked out out last trip to the mall. They don't like to stay on her nose when she wears a hat.

Puppy went down on the floor

Pieper woke up and was standing on the end of the crib as usual, looking at us as we walked by. When I went to get her she pointed at her book, that was probably thrown out of the crib last night so I gave it to her...

She sat down to read the book, she didn't want to come out of her crib, she stayed in bed for another 10 minutes reading aloud to puppy. :)

Things

Pieper likes to walk backwards while you beep like a truck backing up.

She likes to make funny faces at Grandma & Grandpa on the computer.

She still loves to dance, really likes to turn circles now.

Jeff took her to walk on the beach yesterday in her frog boots, she loved it.

She tries to feed her Elmo with a spoon and sippy cup.

She takes your seat when you get up.

She is very good at hiding right behind your back, she will be very quiet sometimes, seems like she doesn't even breathe!

She talks to the baby belly.

Very good at going up stairs.

Reading is her favorite. We are wearing out the books!

She likes to pull her toy helicopter and phone behind her around the house.

She likes to wear Jeff's old watch, and wear both of our shoes... yes I think we are in trouble.

She really likes to sit on the potty but has not gone again...

She will hide around corners and just look at you, amazing how this makes me laugh and seeing Michael Meyers standing around a corner in a movie sends me to the pillow! :)

She can take things off the top of our dresser, it is one of the tall ones.

Loves to roll around on our bed. She does this daily with Jeff.

She picks up phones and walks around talking on them.

She punches buttons on the computer, much to my dismay.

She will 'start' your car and wait for the noise, if she doesn't hear it sometimes she gets worried.

She will grab keys, a bag and put shoes on and kiss and hug you and wave bye, bye.

She doesn't like to get her ears cleaned or have her face wiped.

Very excited when she sees puppies.

Still likes to walk on her tiptoes.

Helps me put away groceries.

She will close doors behind you.

Can say M&M, will drop everything if she thinks I am getting some out! She will offer one to Jeff and then put it in her mouth and laugh.

She makes us laugh every day.

Baby apt

Pieper sitting at the table, which she loves to do. Now all she has to do is pull on the table runner and everything comes to her!
Baby doing fine, is around 4lbs... can we say big baby? Doc says we are on track and only in the 36%. I told her the baby feels bigger than 36% but then I am not the mathematician in the family.

I have to start stress tests next week.( I wonder if it is because I missed my appointment yesterday?) A little sooner than I was hoping and after next week I will be going to the doc every week as well. Home stretch! I have the large bumps moving across my belly daily now. I think this child will dance like its father if the rhythm is anything to go by.

Anyone want to take bets on if this baby looks a little more like the mom when it first comes out? :)

I forgot my Doctor's apt

Can you believe that? I am hoping they won't charge me... rescheduled for tomorrow. Prego brain at work...?

18 month doctor

Pieper is doing great. Other than not liking the doctor's office very much!

She is still off the charts with her height. the nurse asked me if I was sure it was her 18 month apt.... Her weight and head are on the same track they have been on from the beginning.

She has bruising on her arm from the shots but she proudly showed it off to daddy that night.

I let her ballon go out the car door when we stopped to visit daddy's office, that wasn't a fun moment, but she remembers it when we read and see balloons in the book, she points to the sky. I felt so guilty I almost bought her one at the store!

I am amazed at how well she will eat almost everything, she eats broccoli a lot better than I do! How does a child under two know to love cookies? She even liked pea soup today. I am sure it will change but it sure is fun right now!

We had rain all day today, not to warm but it wasn't freezing rain. Just made it so we had to stay inside. good day for baking.

Have to share a potty story (that is your warning)

While today has not been a good day for working Pieper has had an exciting day.

When she woke up this morning she was almost dry so we sat her down on the potty but we had no action.

I laid her down for a nap... the phone rang for work and she decided she no longer wanted to take a nap, I let her fuss for a while as I was getting some work done. When I walked into the bedroom she was standing in her crib without her diaper on, she had taken it off and then gone potty on the blankets... so right idea wrong place.

After a bath and some lunch she disappeared... I found her kneeling on the our toilet(not hers) going potty. So right place, didn't take her pants off this time...

I am going to count it as progress because I need a positive to work off of for the rest of the day!

We are still having rain which is melting some of the snow and ice. About 1/2" thick on the cars this morning and both Jeff and I had scraped last night! :)
