Pieper 2 years 7 months

Have I mentioned how she doesn't like her picture taken???
Is becoming a little more social.
Loves to go outside and for rides in the car.
Likes library time.
Loves books.
Eats very well, fruit is the first thing she eats.
Can eat a whole apple.
Has heard the word damn, from me, and uses it, we are trying to break it. At least she says it quietly.
Loves tunnels, by blanket or in the car.
Still love to spot the train.
Likes Mickey over Olivia during the day. (Except for in books, Olivia wins)
Likes to brush her teeth and wash her hands 'all by herself'.
Blankets, blankets, and pillows...is loving playing with them all right now.
Likes to be a doctor and check you out...
Is very good at cracking eggs for cookies.
Tries to get away from Pete any way she can when she is playing with puzzles.
Is very good at counting to 5 correctly but above that gets a little iffy.

Pete 10 months

Stands without even trying.
Taking steps 'all my himself' as Pieper would say.
Is eating a lot more and hopefully gaining weight. He is in the 50 % but the doctors want him fatter!
Is still a very fast crawler.
Gets upset when Pieper takes a toy from him but will sometimes try to get it back.
Always tries to share his toy with you, normally tries to get it in your mouth.
Is very good at finding you when you hide from him.
Lets you know if you have left him in the room alone.
Reaches up on all tables and desks.
Still adores his sister and gives her kisses, hugs and head nods before bed. Or anytime she is on the floor!
Mostly belly laughs when he laughs, I hope this stays around for a long time.
Turns and smiles at you when you tell him no to see if you will forget you told him no.
Still dances with any kind of music, on t.v. or when you sing. The boy has rhythm.
Has started waking up in the middle of the night to eat... growth spurt?
Will talk to you on the phone.
Drinks water out of a sippy cup, or chews on it...
Still has 6 teeth, the next few seem to be stubborn.
Smells like the chocolate graham crackers I gave him this morning for the first time, he is even more eatable than usual.

drum roll please..............

Pete took his first steps today! He went back and forth between Jeff and I for minutes. What a great day! I am very glad he did it on a day when his daddy wasn't traveling!!!

Pieper 2 years 6 months

Our little explorer.
Going potty in the big girl potty is only an option.
She always gives things to Pete when he is upset or when she wants what he has...
She wants to do things 'all by myself'
Still hasn't had her first haircut.
Eats with silverware until about half way through the meal then the fingers come out.
Says 'that assume mommy' ,way cute.
Likes to put Jeff to bed every night before she has to go to bed.
Has some very good tantrums.
Loves to help do everything and anything.
Gives Pete head nods... I love that.
Doesn't like having her picture taken most days.
Walks around talking on just about anything and says it is a phone... where would she get that?
Still sings Jingle Bells and talks about how she cried when we went to see Santa.
Likes to pick out her clothes and brush her teeth.
Talks all the time, sometimes in a gibberish she has been making up lately.

Books for Christmas

Pretty good considering she didn't like him when he showed up on Tuesday.
She had a lot of people helping her read!
After you read to her she will gladly go to you for a hug... mostly.
Even Santa brought her a book!

I am quite sure I am wearing more of Pete's squash than made it into his mouth.
The Fed Ex guy rang the door bell...
Me in my sweats and carrying a hungry Pete and Pieper in all her glory followed me to the door sans pants as she was sitting on the potty when the bell rang.
I don't know if I have ever seen a fed ex guy run down the stairs before.
