Army football! And they won!

 It was really warm. We were there nice and early.

 We were able to meet 'baby cutie Stevie' for the day. Pieper thought he needed some shade. 

 Army mules!  Yep, you get to pet them after they calm down.

 Cadets all sit together and have to stand the whole game...4500 or so will fill up all that area in the background. 

 5 jumpers out of a helicopter is very coot to watch.

 They have new helicopters... much quieter and not quite as mean looking as the old ones... still cool though.  I forget the name... :)

Part of our crew for the day, right before we left.  We didn't make it to halftime.  When I say it was hot I mean way too hot for kids and babies...they did really great for their first football game... one of many I hope.  Such a great place to watch a game and now kids get to meet cousins there too! :) (Stephen and Kate are stationed in DC for now...)

Sun Flower Maze 2014

 First they had a story and fresh cider with apple donuts.

 

Then we started out through the maze.  You answered questions to find out which direction to go...

 

Pete seemed to be very good at finding 'dead ends'

 

Pieper teased him about a little to much and the 'lip' came out.

 

But they eventually got on the right path.

 And took pictures at the end...

 Of course when you see that many flowers that big...you have to take a few pictures.

 

 And then we picked some apples and pears!  There sure were a lot on the ground...

Pieper's first day of Kindergarden. (Two weeks later)

I should not be posting right now as I just dropped her off at school.
She said her tummy hurt a little but we know it was because she is so excited.
I didn't know if this day would bother me or not but it is safe to say it does. Silly really as I am sure Jeff is saying right now as he reads... :)...

She loves it, always comes home with new things she has learned. 
Still wants to ride the bus but I am dropping her off for now...
Way hungry when she gets home... would eat straight through dinner if I let her...

Pete August

Says he will miss Pieper when she goes to school.
Will wake up and sometimes go potty but nothing after that.
Says "hey guys" before letting you know something.
Calls things 'silly goober', yep, he got that from me.
Is almost as fast as Pieper on her bike.
Will kill most bugs that get into the house... I must admit I like this...
Talked a lot when we were in Iowa and will sometimes talk non stop.
Does not eat very well...unless you bribe him with something... then he will eat it all.
His favorite past time is to tease Pieper...
Gives hugs a lot but they are around your neck... he is strong.
Loves to help.
Loves to 'glide' from the dresser to the bed or from couch to couch...
Is pretty good at unloading the dishwasher with help.
Loves playing one of Jeff's games on the phone...'cloudpal' something...
Is sometime the very silly.
Will very often sneak out of his room to fall asleep somewhere out by Jeff and I.

Pieper August

After meeting her teacher she came home and drew her two pictures and wrote her alphabet.
 She sometimes says doesn't want to play with Pete any more until you tell her that she will soon be in school all day.
Is very excited to go to "5 year old school".
Tells me how yummy her supper is these days...for a while everything was 'yucky'.
Will pick up if you give her a reason to but not without a 'show'.
Likes to show you how tall she is compared to things we have had around the house since she was little.
Like to sing along with the radio.
Ask questions all the time.
Will often want to know what Jeff and I are talking about.
Still sets the table and picks up her dishes...
Is such a little mother...
We had friends coming over and she set up an 'area' for the baby.
Likes to pick out her own clothes for school.
Did excellent at her dentist appointment.
Gets upset if you cut her pizza she has made before she has seen it cut...
