Apple picking @ 8-1/2 weeks

We went to Jeff's CEO's "house" today to pick apples in the rain. He has a large shed that has an old wooden apple press so we get donuts and fresh apple cider. Pieper was a jewel and slept the whole time! He also has a carousel but because of the rain he didn't open the building, (yes it has its own building) I really wanted to put Pieper on the ride it is beautiful.( from coney island, i forget the year but older) There is always next year! I am really starting to like the sling we have, very handy!
She hasn't slept through the night again, only twice, we are back to four hours at a time. I don't mind, I seem to be catching up on my sleep and it is easier for me.
She is really starting to suck on her hand, she will not take her binki as often any more. No big deal as long as she is happy!
It is official, we have a spitter! Mom says I didn't do that but Leanne did, again not a big deal, I don't like it when it wakes her up at night though...
She has started to out grow some of her outfits. This is why I think she is much longer than 22"!
Her hair is starting to fill in, she never did lose any from when she was born it just changed colors. It can really be red in some lights! So far she still has blue eyes and she smiles all the time.
We will be making pies, applesauce and crisps for a few weeks with as many apples as we have picked today! Hope you are all enjoying the fall.

8 weeks

Well good morning, Pieper slept through the night last night!! She woke up at 6am give or take! First time... mom wasn't quite used to it but I am very proud of myself for not getting out of bed to go check on her, i laid in my bed like a good mom and just listened for movement! :)

Her 7 week appointment went very well. she is growing in all the right spots! She is 22" long but i think they didn't pull on her leg enough because she feels a lot longer! She weighs 11lbs 6oz. She took her shots a lot better than her mom does! No fever or real fussiness.

We are working on getting her into a schedule since I will be starting back to work in a month. I will be at home but i would love to get her to take a longer nap during the day so I will have a little more time to get things done! I also have to buckle down on the getting someone to watch her a couple of times a month... i have been procrastinating!

we are having fun trying to get her to talk to us and she is really smiling a lot more. She sings about as good as her mom right now, we are hoping for improvement in that area! She is calling...

Ready for the Game

six weeks

Pieper is sleeping 5 hours most nights and we love it! (knock on wood)She must be growing because during the day she eats every two hours. this is a little easier for me now than it was in the beginning she can entertain herself much better for a few minutes but when she wakes up hungry look out she will make it known!
We have our 7 week appointment next week. She feels much longer and heavier to me so we shall see what the doctor says!!
We are very lucky she likes her bath! not to sure when she first gets in but once you start to pour water on her she is pretty content, still the quickest bath in the east.
As she is calling for her mother quite loudly I will run but here are a few pictures...
