In & Out Birthday

Today Pieper has been out just as long as she was in! It is her 10 month In & Out birthday! :)

She stands by herself, I don't think she knows when she does it but she does it a lot.

Still stuck on Ma ma, Ba ba, La la (and the italian version)

She waves bye bye when she is supposed to.

She loves to point.

She knows right where her belly button is and her Dads!

Still knows her feet but doesn't seem to remember the knee.

She is an angel when we take her out and about, make friends where ever we go... bit of a devil at home.

Still not sleeping through the night. But wakes up at 3:30 or so, won't go back down with out help.

We are at the Vernon condo this weekend putting in a new deck. Jeff is doing most of it but

I did get to use power tools when Pieper was sleeping!

Pieper fell down three stairs first thing. I sort of caught her but she still has a bruise on her forehead. Mom said she wouldn't do that again and so far she is right, she doesn't try to come up them anymore, just gets upset at the bottom! :)

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend, we sure are enjoying the sights and sounds of a slower pace!

Update!!

Eight teeth.... explains a lot but not all. Pieper has had a different personality lately... my sister would say it was in the stars!

I asked Pieper where her foot and knee where today. She pointed to both at the right time more than once. Daughter brilliant, mom trying to get it on film, not so brilliant. ( all you see is her face and hand moving, no foot or knee in sight!)

This picture is a success for a couple of reasons:

-This is when I get most of my work done at home. I can't really get on the phone, my voice wakes her up but I do a lot of uninterrupted work none the less.

-this is the first time Pieper has fallen asleep in her pack & play since she was a little baby. I am attempting to get her ready for traveling so wish me luck! We don't really have a lot of reason to have it out most days but I am changing my strategy, it seems like I have to do that every couple of days!

I have been cheating and taking pictures with my work phone, I have a couple of work friends who 'love' to see pictures of Pieper. This makes it much more fun for me to share them, I don't want to do the 'look at my baby' thing. They ask and I am grateful for them because they get a picture every day!

When Jeff was in the shower this morning Pieper was trying to open the door. She was VERY frustrated when she couldn't get the knob to turn and made sure I knew all about it, she is not shy about her feelings!

She walks around holding the walls, she looks much taller... I will soon be the shortest one in our little family. Mom, I am sure that is payback. :)

Eye Doctor

Took Pieper to see the eye doc yesterday... must be the worst waiting I have done in a doctor's office but as per usual our little showoff performed! Talked to all of the little kids (was a children's doc) and the nurses. We even walked around the office just holding one of my hands, she is getting ready to walk all by herself!

I was worried about a possible lazy eye as it has been seen in the family before but the doctor said everything is just fine... still wants to see her in 6 months but I am not to sure about that yet, will discuss with her pediatrician.

Just thought you would like to see her pretty face with the bottom three teeth... i keep thinking another is going to pop up but we seem to be stuck on seven...

My Birthday

I turned 40 on Monday and I took the day off! Pieper took me out for lunch. She ate salmon! not me... i don't really care for it but Pieper loves it!

She is walking all over the house, using walls and other furniture...

We are still having some problems getting her to sleep but it is much better, she sleeps longer in between waking up.

I am sure she is getting more teeth I just can't find them we are stuck on four on top and three on the bottom.

She talks all the time, sometimes when I am on the phone she gets upset but this morning she had a long conversation with Grandma... where would she get that?

That is why...

I always thought I was a little strange for always having a back up bottle of tylenol for Pieper on hand... so I let it run out. Today I had to go to three different stores in order to find one that still had some of their store brand left. Crazy recall.

My first Mother's day

My sister sent me 3 cards, got the last one today, very thoughtful and made me laugh.

Pieper sent me flowers.

Jeff made coffee in the French Press. (yes, it does taste better)

When I called my mom she wished ME happy mother's day...

Went to Tera for brunch, in CT that doesn't start before 11:30.

Pieper ate pears, scallops, tomatoes, carrots, bread and of course her baby fish( little crackers, yep they made them in a smaller size) Flirted with all of the staff owner included, they all were waiting for her to smile. She watches them very carefully before giving them any reaction at all and them wows them with her toothy smile and chubby cheeks. :)

We think there was sugar in a couple of things as she was wound up when we got home.

Missed my family of course as they were all able to get together at Mom & Dad's for dinner. Sounds like they all had a great time.

My nephew Jacob turned 16 on Sunday. I remember when he wasn't born yet, Leanne and Steve were at DMACC for a class same time as I was there, Leanne came out to talk to me an her belly came around the corner first. That was the first baby kick I had ever felt. Hard to believe it was 16 years ago.

A moment in time

Today I did something fun, I went back to the beginning of the blog and looked at how much Pieper has changed. It seems so very gradual when you see her everyday. :)

She slept for 6 hours two nights in a row, I must be in heaven...

So very glad it is Friday. Must get to work as she is napping at the moment, we have blue skies today and a light breeze. Connecticut at its finest.

My days

This is the face I see when I go to work 3 out of 5 days. I can't believe I am so lucky. I need to remember that as she is chasing me around the apartment when I am trying to speak on the phone to a client! She is very intrigued by my computer, mouse, printer anything with wires... it has been fun to try to get her to think of something else...

She loves chicken! We had chopped apples today with our chopped chicken.

So far she pretty much has eaten most things we put in front of her.

Very independent, she doesn't like us to feed her with the spoon as of today, would much rather feed herself! Oatmeal might be fun... :)
