Easter Egg Hunt 2012. Better late than never!

Pieper did great letting Pete pick up his own.  She had more fun this year opening them up!

Funny things

How I now have three different kinds of toothpaste in the bathroom.
How I make at least five meals a day.
How I do laundry at least once every two days instead of once a week.
How I do dishes in the dishwasher every day, sometimes twice.
How I now vacuum everyday, sometimes twice, instead of once a week!
How leaving the house takes me about an hour to an hour and half instead of ten minutes.
How the girl who didn't like to carry a purse now leaves the house with a minimum of a diaper bag the size of a large laptop and sometimes more.
How my batch of cookies barely lasts a week.
How many times I have to fold blankets, the same ones, in one day.
How my once spotless car is now full of crumbs no matter how often I vacuum.
How I get to go to the bathroom with an audience.
How everywhere I look there are fingerprints. Sometimes in a nice pattern.
How I have to put things so high that I don't want kids to get that I have problems getting them myself... this will not get better as I am sure to be the shortest one in the family.
How most of the time my dishwasher has more things plastic in it than anything else.
How my daughter picks what shoes I will wear when we go out as she goes and gets them for me, she does a pretty good job picking the right style.
How going to the beach is more fun now with kids.
How taking a walk takes much longer than it used to...
How going to the grocery store alone is a treat.
How the only books I read have pictures.
How I now have someone who likes to watch Disney cartoons more than I do.
How I have no problem finding a dance partner.
How my kids always know where the remote for the TV and my phone are.
How much more we laugh.
How I never go more than an hour with out a hug or a kiss.

Ice Cream!

Best invention ever are these little ice cream cones. Pieper is very good at sharing and they both love them.
As you can imagine, I took about 30 pictures so count yourself lucky I limited myself on this post! :)

Pieper 2 Years 9 Months... Late!

She is getting better at participating in the programs. She sings and dances all of the time at home but there are days when we are out where she just loves to watch. I know she is filing everything away for later as there are times she talks about something that happened weeks ago, it takes me a while to catch it.
She will sometimes love on Pete just right and other times she gets a little ruff.
She doesn't like it when Pete tries to help with puzzles.
She is very good at being potty trained when we leave the house. Not as much at home.
Still reads to herself after being read books at nap time and bed time.
Loves to help me cook in the kitchen.
Likes to make mountains and tunnels with blankets and pillows and animals. Anywhere.
Likes to 'lock' Pete.
Loves to try to brush her teeth all by herself, she can even get the toothpaste out of the cabinet...she does this by climbing on the toilet...
Likes to find flowers outside.
Loves going to the beach even though we are still wearing boots to walk in the water.
Likes to be a doctor and check you out.
When she gets a boo boo she tells you she needs to go to the doctor or hospital. (uh oh)
Is getting excited for Aunt Pam and Uncle Tim's wedding and will talk about it out of no where. (She will be in the wedding and it is in June) We have a lot of weddings this year.
She will put her plate and cup on the counter when she is done eating, go wash her face and hands, and try to brush her teeth, every time.
Loves to color and paint...when I let her. :)
Still loves the Hawkeyes.
Growing every day.

I just love my big sister.

Learning....

So I have realized when Jeff is out of town ( March is a very busy month) that it 'lifts my mood' considerably to eat lunch out once while he is gone. You wouldn't think one little meal would make that much of a difference, :) Its the little things I guess.

I woke up this morning to Pieper showing me 'treasure' she had gotten off of the desk. Thanks High Seas week on Nick Jr.
