Muffin morning

Pieper and I made oatmeal muffins last night before bed, with promises of muffins in the morning down to bed she went...
I put the muffins in packages of three... Jeff gives her half of her muffin, eats his own and starts getting ready for work... I am feeding Peter. Pieper brings me the container with one muffin left and asks for more, I say that is mama's muffin... she goes and gets another container with three muffins in it, I say those are for tomorrow, she gets the last container which also has three muffins, brings it to me asking for more....
I gave her my muffin. Who am I to resist such persistence.
You might be wondering what she did with the other half of her muffin... we are pretty sure she got that off of the counter as well as it is missing. :)

Last year they pushed her around, this year they added a chair a crown and carried her...it is a wonder she even wanted to get in the car to come back to CT!

Pieper at 24 months... 2 years July 29th

Little girl in motion, she didn't want to sit still.
Pieper likes to have her picture taken, once, then she has to look at it on the camera.
She is starting to not eat everything, she doesn't like red grapes all of the sudden.
Thank you and please are used more but not as often as 'sorry mama' which is said when she does something I don't want her to do!
Loves the slide.
Is very good at talking to Peter and sharing her puppy with him when he is sad.
Loves to read.
She is putting sentences together, sometimes I am shocked at what comes out of her mouth.
Doesn't like to get her hair washed but loves showers and baths.
Feeds her daddy num nums... so much so that one day at work when asked to go to lunch he said Pieper had filled him up with num nums so he didn't have any room... she was very busy that morning making sure he had enough to eat!
Still likes shoes, although we only have about 2 that fit right now...
LOVES puzzles.
Will sit on the potty and read but that is it.
Picks out what color or picture she would like to wear that day. ( we have one boston puppy shirt that she would wear everyday if she could)
Likes to buckle herself into the car seat.
Her two year molars are almost all in.
All the doctor said at her appointment was how tall she was... 37" I think she grew an inch every month!
She likes to wear her sunglasses... around the house mostly and upside down.
She likes to ride her horse and sit in her chair.
She loves to give hugs and kisses and will pat you on the back while giving the former.
She looks at me sideways, smiles and blinks her eyelids when she wants something....

Peter 4 months

Talkin'
Such a happy boy.
Still laughs a lot.
When we were at the doctor she said he was a delight because he laughed when she pushed on his hips and when the nurse gave him one of the shots he giggled all the way through... the other one burned as it went in so the change in his face was adorable, not the cries that came after!
He is doing fine, right on track, except... you guessed it he jumped up to 90% on his weight...! He really doesn't eat that much!
He sits in his walker... the first time I put him in it he laughed. I think it was because of the new view he had of life around him. He will stand in it for a little while but mostly just hangs out with one foot on the floor.
Has a very strong grip.
Has ticklish legs and tummy.
Has some bad dreams.
Sleeps well but still mostly eats in the middle of the night at least once.
LOVES to watch Pieper, this has not changed from day one. If she comes up and stands by him he will start talking to her and laughing.
Likes to hold hands.
Still likes to be on his tummy but doesn't roll over as much anymore.
He has a lot of hair, it has grown a lot since we got back to CT, it is very blond. He will get a haircut before Pieper...

Visit with Rita!!

We need to thank Rita for letting us stop by her house. It was soooo great to see her. The kids really enjoyed playing with her!

Zoo 2011

Mom, Karla and I (when I am around) have always taken all of the kids to the zoo. A much enjoyed tradition. This year Mom was kind enough to stay home with Pete.


Olivia and Isaac rode with Pieper, it was a warm day but we also had just walked through the water spray to cool us off so we are not as hot as we look!




The copper hippo was very hot but the kids couldn't resist! I think Karla has a picture of everyone...

Stacey opened up her home again and everyone did there best to make it. Such a fun time seeing everyone and having all of the KIDS play together! Boy have our parties changed! :)

Meliska and Mike should be having their first baby this week!! We hope!
