Summer days.
Letting yet another frog go... Pete is not happy.
Helping us move a tree.
Playing in the shade of the pool...
Caught this hug from the house, they were keeping each other warm...
Roasting marshmallows (pine cones) over their campfire (more pine cones) while telling Grandma all about it.
"Looking for nature" Pieper thought it was cold and didn't want the bugs to find her skin...those are fleece pants and a turtle neck, Pete and I were sweating...
Working with tools in Daddy's tool room....
Silly laughter.
Fun in the ball...

Father's day.
Shirt was a success.
Pieper showing off her video of them making the shirt...
They got to climb on Daddy for a good part of the morning...

Weekend in DC
Pieper and I went to DC to meet Kassie and Graham for a quick weekend.
Thanks Daddy for the nice hotel!
She sat up here everyday.
Playing after dinner.
Washington mall sure is tall.
WWII memorial. The water was a hit.
Uncle Stephen and Aunt Kate were kind enough to join us for lunch with 'baby cutie Stevie'
Sprinklers at the zoo were a big hit.
Shaleen and John Henry met us at the Zoo, we saw three Panda bears.
I can't leave DC without one picture of a light.
Train station. Kelsey lives right around the corner!
Daddy and Pete had a fun boys weekend! I sure hope to do this more in the future! :)

Pete June
Every time we drive by a certain house he yells "spiderman house" it took me a while to figure this out but they have one of those architectural windows that looks like a spiderweb.
He lounges on top of the couch.
Loves 'green' yogurt. (lime)
When he wears his camouflage shorts he always says "Daddy won't see me 'cause I am in camouflage".
Loves cheese.
Love to jump.
Is very good at riding his bike. Not quite as fast as Pieper but always tries to catch her.
Makes a slurping noise with a tongue swipe on his mouth if he thinks something is yummy.
He is such a 'snacker', he gets that from me.
Loves play dough.
Dragons, dragons, dragons... and Paw Patrol.
Likes to pick up worms.
Always wants to help pull weeds...but doesn't always pull the right thing as you can imagine.
Is very quick with "sorry mom" when he does something naughty.
Likes to wash dishes.
Likes to play on the side of the pool and reach in, not get in and sit.
As a project one day the kids helped me use up some of the paint samples we have acquired, Pete was very proud to help!
Dishes
Dragons!
Very proud of his Fourth of July cards he made.
I hung up an empty milk carton and showed them how to shoot a basket, first thing Pete did was try to slam dunk the ball!

Pieper June
While making one of Jeff's Father's Day gifts she ran to get her camera and video taped while Pete and I finished...all the while saying "Happy Father's Day Daddy, you are going to love this..."
Took pictures of Pete in the morning and came to show me he was still sleeping.
Hears a song on the tv and will say " Mommy, we have that song in our car!" This makes her very excited.
Asks to go to school everyday.
Is very much a little mother.
Loves real puppy dogs, everywhere we went in DC if she saw a puppy she asked to pet it...
Will do whatever Peter is supposed to do so he doesn't get in as much trouble...
Will stop eating something sweet without being asked...
Loves salad.
Has selective hearing and if you ask her twice (or more) she will say "I know!" in her best teenager voice.
Up way early one morning I was trying to get her to go back to sleep, she rolls over and asks me when I am going to leave her room... I asked why and she said "I want some alone time". This was of course to play with the kindle she had already hidden under her bed...it was 4 AM.
Doesn't always ask for things she can reach herself, which is almost everything with the help of a chair.
Big "greeny" frog.
Helping wash the car.
Yeeha!!
Daddy smile.
