More snow on the way!

My attempt to show you how much snow we have had... Jeff is standing behind the snow bank, that is where we scooped the some of the snow...
The tree trunk behind Pieper topped with snow is taller than me.
Pete does not always want to keep his hat on...

More snow.... it is what we have been doing... :)

Jeff laughed because every time I picked up the snow I threw my leg out... some kind of strange ballet in the snow...  It was very heavy...He bought me a much requested scoop shovel after this snow...
This is what we have been doing for fun lately...
Yes, he is laying down in the snow...

Everyone pitches in...
Trees were full of ice after the rain...
Sunrise through the snowy trees...the next day... so much fun weather this year...

Success!!!

I love this, more so because I finally figured out how to crop and save it with the program!  So much cheese in one picture...

Snow days... part 2... 16" in total between storms..

What to do if you can't get the kids to stop eating snow... ice pops! :)
Okay these pictures are from a while back, since this storm we have had another 6" storm and a couple of 2-3" storms as well as some rain...
If one weather person or anyone else this year talks about a drought like they did last year I will simple stop watching the weather...

Toothless!

Showing off some of his dragons he received for Christmas!

Nothing says togetherness like sharing an ipad...

This is how it started... a quick show on the ipad before bed in mom's chair...
This is how it ended...

I told her to move to the outside after I saw his head falling down a couple of times....she got blankets and kept watching the show...  I would love to tell you it was completely educational but I am sure it was something like George the Monkey.  (Not all bad)

What took up a lot of time before Christmas.

I tried making my first quilt... I couldn't find any with princess that I likes for Pieper and she is such a fan of princess... I got lucky in that Mom helped with a lot of blocks, so the quilt was made in IA and CT!!  If you are wondering, it was a hit.  Most special moment of Christmas morning after she opened it and everyone left the room she sat down on my lap gave me a hug and said "I love you Mom, Merry Christmas, I really, really like my princess blanket."
Heart strings.... :)

Peter January 2014

Thinks he is very funny.
Loves Dragons of Berk, thank you to whoever made that show.  It feeds his love for dragons in a very nice way.
Loves to stop into the three year old class to play while we drop off Pieper.
I swear his favorite toy is the vacuum hose.
Told me he likes grass better than snow, this may have something to do with the fact he will not leave his mittens on when we play in the snow and his hands always get cold.
Loves fruit. Daddy's cereal.anything crunchy.
Likes to sing and dance.  Will always start dancing with me.
Unfortunately likes to get on my dresser and get into my make-up. Tips the clothes basket upside down and stands on it...
Loves to play ruff with Daddy and tackle with Mommy.
Loves tools.
Really likes to put things together and take them apart.
Talks all of the time but still has problems with F's and S's so sometimes we have to make him repeat it over and over.
Has no interest in sitting on the potty even though he knows he can't go to school until he is trained.
Would very much like to watch spiderman and batman, not yet... not yet...
He is not as 'bribe-able' as Pieper, this is unfortunate as it is one of my backups for when he won't get in his car seat.
Likes to play games on devices...not watch videos.
has started to pedal on his trike but we didn't add any blocks so his foot falls off on the bottom side...
He does not like to have his pant legs 'up' you must pull them down immediately.
Has grown almost two inches since November according to out 'door measuring'...it should be noted there is a large margin for error here.
Likes bagels.
Wants whatever toy Pieper is playing with at this moment, only to change when she starts playing with something else... a 'throw down' often ensues when he is not given said toy...
He will not keep his clothes on... day or night.  Did I say we have been in the single digits for two weeks...?
