Where's Pete

Under a box
or stacking blocks.
In his room reading books
or hiding in some little nook.
Picking up picture frames
or tearing up his sister's games.
Yelling for Pieper to come see a bug
or wrapping himself up in a rug.
Running from his Mom or Dad
or throwing himself on the floor 'cause he is mad.
Playing with his Daddy's phone,
he doesn't like to sleep alone.
Playing with the DVR and discs
or climbing up everything regardless of risk.
Roaring like a dragon or biting like a shark
using his favorite tools he rarely misses the mark.
Loves to dance and sing
but lets be honest he loves everything.
Walking around blankets and animals in hand,
he is really growing up to be a neat little man.
Giving you the very best hug and kiss,
now that is something not to miss.

July 4, ice cream and sparklers.

Peter 2 years 3 Months

He talks all the time, I have started to not understand everything but he stays very patient and just keeps trying to tell you what he is saying.
Remember these words:

Daddy gone?

If you tell him to go something (like sit on daddy's lap) so he can get something (like ice cream) he goes at a full run.
He does not like bees.
He likes to step on ants.
He is not as shy.
He looks at you sideways to make you laugh.
Will give you kisses to get his way.
Does not listen when you say no but will go running to his room and stay in time out.
Tools, tools, tools, he loves them. Even if they are Daddy's.
Loves milk.
He grabbed my face today to make me look down at the Ispy book... he loves those.
He will sniff all flowers.
He is fearless.
He likes to look at pictures of his cousins.
He loves to jump off of everything and he goes like a flying squirrel.

Pieper 3 years 11 Months

She loves to play princess
She likes to pretend she has a baby.
She likes to make Pete be her puppy.
She will always follow you outside.
She is becoming a very grown up little girl.
She gives me kisses because 'it makes me really happy'
She loves ice cream.
If someone gets an 'ouchy', she will run to get the ice pack.  Ice packs make everything better in this house.
She still likes pink.
She does not take a nap very often but she will go to her room for quiet time.
She is very excited for her birthday. 
Still asks for M&M s for going potty or for 'just being a good Doodle'.
Changes clothes at least three times a day or just runs around without them.
Likes to talk to Grandma and  cousin Olivia on the phone.
When I sent her to her room to think about her actions one day she stomped off saying 'I'm not going to think about my actions, do I look like an action thinker?!"
When I asked her what we should make Jeff for Father's day dinner she said cake and I said how about Cordon bleu.  she said 'how about cordon pink!'

Toad catchers

Okay I will admit this makes me laugh just a little more after having seen a Duck Hunter's show (thanks Karla, it is good for some good laughs) but they are always very proud of what they have caught.  I try to make them put it back before the toad gets to tired.... and I don't ever want to see them skin one. :)
