Ouch!

The baby just kicked me on my bladder! I was talking to my co-worker and "bam", I jumped out of my chair!

She has been moving a lot. I mean really the poor kid is up all night like her mom! Boy did that sound weird, I wasn't talking about my mom! :)

Jeff and I watch the belly like we watch tv! They told me I might not feel anything because of the way things are laying inside, I must say thank goodness! I can't imagine what it would be like if she was closer to the outside. We can see bumps moving across my tummy.

No fingers yet mom, but I don't know if hers would be strong enough!

I know I haven't written for a while. Went to Kassie's shower in FL and I haven't caught up yet! There were four pregnant ladies there. Nice to see and talk to someone who was going through the same thing at the same time.

I go for my monthly appointment tomorrow. 20 weeks already, we will of course take a picture... I will warn you all, there isn't that much of a difference. If Kassie's belly is anything to go by someday soon it will just pop out! :) I find it hard to believe we are halfway through already.
Jackie, the girl I work with is starting to notice the belly now. (not much of a bump) Of course I am not trying to hide it anymore or maybe she just got more observant, people see what they want to you know.
I haven't had any funny cravings... I was so looking forward to something fun with pickles and chocolate... the only thing I seem to need is milk and that isn't anything I can blame on the baby!

18 weeks. I swear some days I feel a lot bigger than others. Went and bought some maternity jeans during this week, what a relief!

Here we are at 16 weeks. Some clothes are starting to get snug, other than that and some other growing parts... I don't feel that different. I do think I have been feeling the baby move about right now, not sure if that is what is going on though.

Weekend of firsts

Sunday while shopping for a gift for a friend, I finally found exactly what I was looking for! Much to my surprise I started to cry... I am blaming that on hormones and my mother had to be a witness to my breakdown as I was on the phone with her at the time. But she at least got me laughing since I was sitting on the floor in a store I am sure I was causing more attention to myself than necessary!
I also bought my first pair of work slacks. My how comfortable big elastic waist bands can be! Now if they only had a shorter pair so I wouldn't have to get them hemmed when I start wearing flats! (yes they had petite styles but I didn't like them, shocker!)
I also bought my first baby clothing item that is not a gift! The cutest little pair of shorts. Brown check with pink (yes, pink) ribbon trim. Again I say that a picture will follow!

Anatomy scan Tuesday

We had our fingers and toe check! The baby kept the fingers closed and hands and feet up next to the mouth! Since Jeff and I both sucked our thumb I am pretty sure we will have one that does the same! Didn't look to me like there was a lot of room to move around in there but the technician said it was just fine.
When the doctor came in to look at everything in person the baby promptly rolled over and wouldn't let her see anything! It is for sure our child, little stubborn. Jeff will of course say that is all me!
Everything is coming along just as it should. They are giving us the due date of July 29th.
I told work on Tuesday after the appointment. Went better than I thought and I feel much better now that I don't have to worry about my ever growing belly!
