I made this not so very good hat for Pieper's doll, she placed in on her rocking horse one day for no reason.
Peter after a bath.
Pieper loves to hold Peter unless he starts to cry... He likes to look at her.
Pieper loves to climb, anything, anywhere, she climbs it.

28 April 2011

Tomorrow is April 29th

Pieper will be 21 months. I am sure I will be up for the royal wedding and Pieper will be wearing a new outfit. Yes, I am one of those people... sorry Dad. I was up for Diana's wedding I will try to up for Wil's... Here is a fun fact, I think Di was married on July 29th....
Pieper is maybe starting to react to the fact Peter is not going home with Grandma... he is here to stay and she has been a little difficult today. Yesterday she was a dream so I should have known something was up! :) Nothing really bad, she is just continually pushing my buttons, I am not to sure how she has figured that out already but we are learning our way through it.
I gathered everyone up for a quick walk today and that helped but the weather was bad (rain & wind) and I am still a little shaky about taking both children out and about by myself. Such a wonderful learning process I am going through... :)
Pieper is went to her bed all by herself tonight, she had to come back out to get me to 'tuck' her in.
Peter is in his bed having dreams, that means singing and laughing aloud.
All and all, everything considered, I sit here thinking how very lucky I am.
I will also be glad to have Jeff home tomorrow.

Are you sitting down...?

Pieper is sleeping in her big girl bed, so far so good! All of my attempts the past few days have failed. Jeff walked her in and put her down and there she has stayed... well for an hour! :)
I would LOVE to take a picture but I don't dare!

Peter is having a night time crisis. Mom do you remember what he would do about this time...? Well he is doing just that times two. Just will not go down without a fight.

Will be going solo this week at some point as Jeff has to go to Boston, wish us luck!

Pieper had to join the fun!

I know the angle on Peter's head looks bad here, I took the picture right as he went to look up at Pieper, it was only for a second. :) His head is on her belly and arm.
I could have just used the caption: Peter Tipper... :) I crack myself up.

See how happy he is to be talking to his sister...?

Peter's Easter

25 April 2011

Happy One Month Peter! Already.

Peter is a good baby. He gets upset at night when it is time to go to bed but think that is because he hears Jeff's voice and wants to stay up.
He burps very loudly... :)
His eyes are still blue.
He likes tummy time and being on our bed.
He is not to sure about bath time yet, some days he likes it, some days he doesn't!
He responds when you speak to him, sometimes with a smile.
He likes to look at things more everyday. I have forgotten how fun it is to watch babies eye sight grow.
He is already out grown some of the 0-3 months clothes. We do not make SMALL babies.
He likes to watch Pieper when she gets close to him. ( she likes to give him kisses and rub her nose on his hair)
He loves the swing.
He doesn't like to be alone, unless he is sleeping.
I haven't figured out yet if he is a warm baby or not, sometimes he likes to be wrapped and other times he gets very happy when you take off his blankets.
He loves to use his "automatic sprinkler" with Daddy... he has only done it to me once! :)
Still doesn't like bright sunshine but likes to look out the window later in the day.
Likes to be in the car.
Always lets us know when he has not been fed. He gets that from me.
One month in and it feels as if he has always been part of our family.

More Easter Pictures...

Happy Easter Everyone

After we went to church the weather was perfect. Around 70 So we hunted eggs and blew bubbles while Peter took a nap.
I gave her the basket and said go get the eggs and she went crazy... well, I only had six eggs for her to find but she did very well.

Showing off her eggs
Hey, wait a minute... there is something in these eggs!

General cuteness

Peter looks a lot like Pieper here. He loves to sleep on Jeff just like this, on his legs, I can't even begin to do this with him, I am way to short!
Laughing Peter, he does this a lot, especially when you talk to him, he has some great reactions.
My baby is a little girl. Doesn't she look about 14? She is pretty hard to get a picture of these days as she loves to look at the pictures on the camera. She is climbing up the couch here to get to the camera in my hand.

Pieper

She seems to be showing us a different side since Grandma and Grandpa left. I have the feeling we are not paying as much attention to her... ?
She is always worried about Peter if he is crying and will even start to cry for him if you don't get to him very quickly.
The picture is what happens when we put Peter down for tummy time, Pieper loves to jump in as well, especially when the camera comes out!
She has not slept in her big girl bed yet, she will go in and lay down for a game but that is about it. We will have to start trying that again sometime soon.
Her words are getting better every day, I am starting to not understand some of the things she is saying as she is putting things in sentences. I can not imagine how frustrating it would be to look at you mom and say the same thing over and over because she can't understand what you are saying!
She has forgotten the word no, or maybe I should say she is just trying to push my buttons! :) Sometimes it works!
She loves to run from place to place, those of you who have been in our apartment know how funny that is, she really can work up some speed! Her hair goes flying out behind her!
She is now able to reach up to the top of our tall dresser. She has been getting on kitchen counters for some time now but we are having to keep things farther back!
Her climbing is getting better. She still can trip over things like her mama. We are just to busy looking around!
Peter is calling! :)

17 April 2011

Grandma saying good bye for now. We sure do miss her.Having fun because Grandpa is a good listener!
I am pretty sure we all have pictures like this with Dad when we were about this size.
Grandpa in the morning with Pieper

Peter's Baptism

We were able to get Peter baptized while Mom and Dad were here. Pieper was a very good big sister and Peter wore the same outfit that she did, Mom's uncle Ed's I think, Mom feel free to correct me if I am wrong. :)

Grandpa

Another person to read to Pieper, she is going to be thinking she should have a baby brother more often!Walking with Grandpa
Stacking blocks... or knocking them down, I was never to sure which was more fun!
Playing with Grandpa
Peter and Grandpa

At the beach with Grandma

I love the way the tide makes the sand look! Pieper loved the beach, not to many people out when we were there, more started to show up as we left. Peter was strapped to me, his first day at the beach was much sooner than Pieper's!

Walking with Grandma
Picking up shells

Watching the birds
Side note: yes, Pieper wears those boots everywhere. I wish I would have gotten them a size bigger, she has almost out grown them!

Mom/ Grandma

Pieper and Grandma were able to become great friends while Grandma was here.
Pieper was entranced with Grandma's rollers! She would make rolling motions with her hand after seeing it once! Grandma never got tired of reading, Pieper's favorite pastime!
All Three....
Grandma had the magic touch with Peter, I would try for some time to get him calmed down or get a burp out, Grandma took him and within minutes he was quiet.
I know I have said this before but it bears repeating. My mom is the greatest. Not only did she put up with me for three and a half weeks but Pieper and Peter took to her without any trouble at all! I have had a much better recovery this time around and I give some credit to the doctor and nurse I had at the hospital but I know it was having Mom here doing so much for us that made all of the difference in the world. She put her life on hold and left all of her plants to the deer [:)]to come out and help and I am very grateful. I have always know how lucky I was to have such wonderful parents, but it is truly amazing to have it proven to you over and over again no matter how old or how far away I am.
