Getting there...

 We did nothing this weekend but pull out pachysandra (still a long way to go) and lay mulch but what a difference!  We are only halfway through our pile of mulch we had delivered on Friday but have no fear, we will use it all without any problem. We did think it started to look a bit like the Devils Tower for a while...   Now to figure out what kind of flowers to plant! :)
I know, I know we really should be working on the inside... I think we both really needed a nice break where we could see some instant results, I will be back at the walls this week. :)

                                     

 This is how Pieper went out to say hello to the neighbors...I just love that she is dressing herself right down to the accessories these days.

Pete had to run out also but he didn't want to put any cloths on, Jeff told him he needed shoes so he went and got his slippers and came on out... at least he is feeling well enough to go outside!

Our first bird!

We have had the feeder hanging on the window for two months..(?) it was very exciting to see one and he came back more than once while the kids were watching.

Spring!

 We took out some pachysandra... we will be doing that for a long time it has been allowed to run wild. The pile is in the crescent shape on the drive, four large garbage bags. I know you will NOT have to ask my opinion of THAT plant.  That is the cap to our well in the middle, we didn't know how tall it was as it was overgrown!

 We found a bunch of early spring flowers... that is how the whole thing started.  I can't wait to see the daffodils.

Pieper @ 3 years 8 months

Likes school most times but doesn't tell us what she did that day.
Was using the kindle and bought a $9 program... Jeff is looking into blocking that option... he left it open for me to use but as usual, the kids are better at it than I am.
Likes to play airplane and everyone in the whole house has to buckle their seat belt.
Has to pour her milk and cereal or anything else she can.
Loves to set the table.
Likes to play outside.  I can't wait for it to get warmer.
Loves to go look at the flowers coming up and was very excited about her garden gloves.  Talks about all of the tomatoes she is going to eat this summer.
Will go down and get a soda or beer out of the downstairs fridge for us... in fact will ask us if we need one...I am not saying I am proud of that but it is rather handy and funny.
Always wants to help put away the groceries.
Tells me all the time she can't wait for the walls in her house to be pretty... I am still working on getting them smooth but she is trying to decide what color we should paint.  Don't worry, I am going to do the paint picking, I don't think I could handle a pink living room. :)
Talks about going to Iowa to see her cousins a lot.
Thinks every sporting team on TV is the Hawkeyes.

He climbs on everything and is fearless with the jumping.
He is really trying to talk more.
Is very good at eating cereal out of a bowl with milk, he starts with a spoon but sometimes finishes with his hand.
Is on track with his own growth chart. 
I know I say it a lot but he still loves to dance!
Likes balloons and balls.
Loves to play ruff with Daddy.
Wants to do everything Pieper does.
Is very good at giving kisses, hugs and high fives.
Loves to play peek a boo.
Will sit on the potty.
Likes to touch or should I say break the house plants.
Throws a very good tantrum and flings himself on the ground... he forgets we don't have carpet everywhere.
Takes bumps very well with little crying.
Sometimes gets along with Pieper very well and other times not.
When we play hide and seek the boy is the very best hider.  He will even slow his breathing down so he is harder to find, unless you make him laugh.
Has one of the biggest best smiles.

Sad but true, he just licked a little frosting.  we where hit pretty hard with a bug and Pete got the worst of it.  We have just come from our third doctor's appointment and have gotten him a clean bill of health, with the exception of a little cough now and then everyone is doing pretty good!
