30 August 2015

End of school year. Because we are starting the new one....

Pete's end of year party with his teachers.
Hard to believe he is already four.... please note silly smile...that is just about all we get anymore.
Pieper's end of year field day. We had a little rain but Pete found a friend...
She was on the Purple team!

Pete in June and July cause I am so late... and Aug.

Pete loves to count.
Will sing on command, songs that he has heard or learned in school.
Sang so well at his closing school program people were laughing at his 'hammyness'
Loves to wrestle... I am hoping this will stop at some point at least until he is in a wrestling class
Liked his sports camp he was in for a week, his first ever camp.
Loves the fact he now has a lunch box and that is has spiderman on it.
Really likes saying 'Hulk smash" in a deep hulk like voice.
No we have not watched any of the super hero movies but we did watch one of the old Hulk tv shows... he will look at pictures of hulk or spiderman on my phone for a good 15 minutes if you need to distract him. I do not have any games on my phone... I am still me after all.
Loves cottage cheese, will even choose it over crunchy yogurt for a snack.
Likes to pick our tomatoes but will not eat them.
Will always pick chocolate milk.
Likes snakes, frogs, bugs... I am sure I will have my fair share in the house some day.
Gives them names like my 'friend ant' and 'mosquitoie'.
Is still such a lover but very much a fighter.
When I take him places people always worry as he climbs like a monkey and does his death defying feats but I usually just watch out of the corner of my eye, the boy can climb, jump and land very well.
Throws a ball like he has been taught.
Likes to run.
Likes to be almost naked, he is the boy outside in his underwear.
Will stack anything from chairs to boxes to pillows to make something high enough to reach into a cupboard he is not supposed to be in.
Will come up to you and say "Mommy, I have to tell you something..."
Says "hi" to everyone on our road and even if we go through the drive thru... he is friendly.
Does not like to wear shoes.
Loves squinties (ground squirrels) so much he gets upset if one gets "spanked" by daddy....but big squirrels are okay to spank.
Will tell you what the letters in his name are but doesn't like to write it.
If we are outside and he gets too hot he will come in and turn on a program to 'cool off'. Yep, he figured out the remote...
Thinks the little ducks we have walking down our road are 'so cute' in a little Pete voice.
Is not going to talk to Jeff or I 'until next winter' at least once a day.
He will try to negotiate getting something he wants... I feel trouble coming...

 Charm in progress.
Is good at making us laugh.
Battles with sticks while on his bike.  Air, bubbles, anything he can think of.

Pieper June and July.... Aug. :)

She loved Kindergarten.
Has outgrown all of her pants.
Helps me without me asking things like starting to put away groceries while I am still bringing them up.
Sometimes does not want to play with Peter.
When we have company and they are sleeping in her room she will disappear and be found playing quietly in her room even though she doesn't normally play there when we don't have guests.
Had her first gymnastics course this month... this in not how I remember it, I guess I just took Tumbling... this was hard core.  She 'kind of ' liked it...that is why we tried it for a week...
Loves the new swing, will sit out there for an hour...with or without Pete.
Should be working on her letters this summer but we have not done it...
Will cry if Pete is getting in trouble and crying.. she has always done this.
Always has a story to tell but is getting better at waiting until someone else is done talking.
Can get very serious when she is trying to get a very important point across about just about anything.
Sometimes misses some of her friends from her four year old class just out of the blue...they did not all go to the same kindergarten.
Is very excited for her birthday.
Loves to explain things to Pete or try to do them for him even if he doesn't want it.
Still has Pete smash the bugs for her.
Likes to be the 'leader' of the two of them.
Can still count to ten in French, we haven't done that since before she started school, they teach Spanish.
Still says 'and such' when explaining things.  Now Jeff and I say it.
Likes to watch the Lone Ranger on the weekends and says that is what she wants to be for Halloween...no Princess?  we shall see! :)

Wanted to show everyone how tall our lilies were this year.

This is where she goes when Jeff is traveling to fall asleep. His side of the bed.

Pieper at 6

Wanted a puppy party.
First birthday in CT.
Is excited for school to start.
Can sometimes be too helpful....
Draws all the time, if you talk about someone visiting she sits down and draws them a picture.
The pictures are turning into books.
Wants to Vet when you grow up but doesn't want to work with snakes.
Loves to eat soup and salad and will order it every time we go out to eat.
Will still try all kinds of foods. One bite.
Likes her long hair until it is time to comb it.
Is starting to like more colors than pink.
Will play in the pool for hours, even if Pete is done....the games she plays are all her own.
Loves to love on Pete, even if he doesn't want her too.
 Our Doodle.

Daddy got to sing Happy Birthday with us on the phone...
